Tehran, Feb 19, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said the plan suggested by Egypt’s President Muhammad Mursi is positive and close to one already proposed by Iran. Talking to reporters during his weekly press briefing, he made the remarks in response to a question on President Mursiˈs plan for settlement of crisis in Syria and Iran’s attitude towards it. He said Iran is certainly to consider the plan closely and precisely first and then will submit its final views to Egyptian officials in shortest possible time. Noting that during the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation Summit in Mecca, the Egyptian president proposed formation of a quadripartite committee, he said the committee was initially supposed to include Iran, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey but it transformed into a tri-partite one following the absence of representatives of Saudi Arabia.
