FM Terms Visits To Japan, Indonesia Constructive

Jakarta, March 6, IRNA – Iranˈs Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif referred to his negotiations with Indonesian and Japanese officials as constructive. Zarif made the remarks in a post on his facebook page on Thursday. ˈI had constructive talks with the Japanese officials on the implementation of financial parts of the Geneva interim agreement.ˈ On November 24, 2013, the Geneva interim agreement, the Joint Plan of Action, was signed between Iran and the G5+1 in Geneva. It consists of a short-term freeze of portions of Iranˈs nuclear program in exchange for decreased economic sanctions on Iran, as the countries work towards a long-term agreement He noted that Indonesian officials welcomed expansion of relations between the two countries, in the field of economy in particular. ˈIndonesian officials welcomed Iran proposal for pursuing a world free of nuclear weapons and a world without violence and extremism.ˈ Zarif departed Tehran for Tokyo on Tuesday and will return on Friday.
