FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES HIS NEPALESE COUNTERPART

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 12, Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar received Foreign Minister of Nepal Pradeep Kumar Gyawali, who arrived in Mongolia to attend the inauguration conference of the International Think Tank for Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC). Beginning the meeting, Foreign Minister D.Tsogtbaatar expressed his gratitude to Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali for his arrival to the conference and emphasized the importance of deepening the bilateral, international and regional cooperation between the Asia-Pacific LLDCs. Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Pradeep Kumar Gyawali mentioned that Mongolia and Nepal have similar religious and cultural background and a long tradition of friendly relations, and expressed great appreciation for Mongolian Government’s contribution to the establishment of the International Think Tank for LLDCs. He also expressed his confidence that the Think Tank will play an important role in expanding bilateral ties and development of landlocked developing countries. After the meeting, Foreign Ministers of the two countries signed the Memorandum of Understanding on establishment of bilateral consultation mechanism between Mongolia and Nepal. B.Misheel
