Foreign minister says Turkish girl killed in attacks is symbol of common conscience of humanity


TRONDHEIM (A.A) - August 1, 2011 - Turkey's foreign minister said on Monday that a Turkish girl, killed in recent double attacks in Norway, was the symbol of a common conscience of entire humanity.
Ahmet Davutoglu said when Turkish girl Gizem Dogan and her friends lost their lives in this inhuman attacks, they gave huge messages to humanity.
"Even this funeral is a lesson, and Gizem Dogan is the symbol of common conscience of the entire humanity from now on," Davutoglu said during Dogan's funeral in Trondheim, Norway.
At least 76 people, including Gizem Dogan, died and many others were wounded in July 22th double attacks in Norway's capital Oslo and the nearby island of Utoya.
Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old far-right extremist, is the main suspect of last Friday's car bomb explosion in Oslo as well as the following bloody raid against a political youth camp in Utoya, a holiday island close to the Norwegian capital.
Davutoglu said Gizem would come to minds whenever one spoke about tolerance and multinationalism, and Gizem gave the message that nobody should let those who killed her live a world which they had dreamt of, every one should embrace his/her neighbors and live together with them whatever their religion, language and race were,.
Turkey's foreign minister also said Turkish citizens living abroad would from now on establish a bigger bridge of friendship with their neighbors and friends irrespective of their religion, language and race.
Gizem's family settled down in Norway 13 years ago.
