Foreign ministers of Russia, India, China to discuss action coordination on world stage - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The coordination of actions on the world stage will be discussed at the forthcoming 14th meeting of the foreign ministers in the RIC format (Russia, India, China) to be held in the Russian capital on April 18, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Wednesday. "It is planned to discuss thoroughly the current situation in the region and in the world, primarily, the state of affairs in the Middle East and North Africa, Afghanistan and around Ukraine," she noted. "It is also expected to discuss the issues of joint counteraction to international terrorism. It is also planned to consider further coordination of practical steps on the key international venues, first and foremost, within the framework of the UN, BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and G20. "The agreed approaches of the parties towards the pressing issues on the global and regional agenda will be reflected in the final joint communique," Zakharova added. According to her, a meeting between the foreign ministers of Russia and China will be held on the sidelines of the consultations in the RIC format, during which the issues on the regional and international agenda will be discussed.
