Foreign ministers of Russia, Iran, Turkey meet on sidelines of UN General Assembly

UNITED NATIONS, September 25. /TASS/. The ministerial meeting of the "Astana Trio" - Russia, Turkey and Iran - has started on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly. Russia is represented by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Turkey - by Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, and Iran - by Foreign Minister Javad Zarif. "I welcome colleagues and friends within the 'Astana format' and want to express our satisfaction with the fact that our hard work led by the presidents of our countries resuled in the formation of the Syrian Constitutional Committee, as announced by [UN] secretary general several days ago," Lavrov said.
