Foreign Ministry Invites World Muslims To Attend Qods Day Rallies

Tehran, Aug 16, IRNA – Foreign Ministry on Wednesday called on all Iranians and other Muslims and freedom lovers world over to actively participate in the World Qods Day (August 17) rallies to voice opposition to the occupation of Holy Qods and the Zionist Regime’s aggressions. Issuing a statement, a copy of which was made available to IRNA on Wednesday, the Ministry said that the World Qods Day recalls an Islamic and humanitarian duty shouldered by all Muslims and freedom lovers. It said on the Day, the people should voice their support for the legal rights of people in Palestine and opposition to occupation of Palestine. The last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan was named the World Qods Day by the late Founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeni with an aim to support the oppressed people of Palestine and voicing disgust at the Zionists' atrocities./end
