KATHMANDU, Feb 27 (Bernama) – Nepal's ex-prime minister Jhalnath Khanal left for Malaysia early Friday to attend the 24th meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) Standing Committee in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting aims to deepen relations and cooperation among political parties in Asia and contribute to leading the Asian continent towards greater peace and prosperity. "Most of the countries in Asia and political parties in Nepal face common challenges," said Khanal before leaving the Tribhuvan International Airport. "The meeting will discuss these issues and come up with a common perspective and vision for peace, prosperity and mutual cooperation among Asian political parties," he said. The meeting is held from Feb 28 to March 3. Khanal is senior leader of Nepal's largest party, Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML).
