French ambassador says France ready to unite, fights against terrorism

BANGKOK, Nov 14 (TNA) -- French ambassador to Thailand Gilles Garachon on Saturday said his country is ready to unite and not to surrender to terrorism acts. In a message posted on the website of the French embassy, Mr Garachon said in French saying that France’s response is “unity, national solidarity and determination to give nothing to terrorism. Let us mobilise more than ever behind the values of the French Republic!” His message appeared on the embassy’s website after several coordinated attacks by gunmen left some 120 people killed and more than 200 wounded in Paris late Friday. The French embassy held a long-standing grievance at its premises at 11am and will hold a remembrance function for the victims at 6pm Saturday at the Alliance Francaise on Bangkok’s Wireless Road.
