French Politician: Iran-West Ties To Improve During Rouhani's Tenure

Tehran, July 29, IRNA -- A French politician voiced optimism about the future of Iran-West relations during presidency of Iran’s President-elect Hassan Rouhani. “It is expected that during the tenure of Iran’s new president, Iran-West relations will improve,” Director of France’s Strategic and International Relations Institute Pascal Bounifas told Euro News satellite television channel. “Each side has its own priorities: lifting sanctions and facilitating trade relations is prioritized by Iran and the nuclear issue is prioritized by the Europeans,” he added. Bounifas said that one should be hopeful than Iranians, European and Americans would seize the opportunity for coming out of the current deadlock./end
