Fuel prices will go down

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The fuel prices will go down by 50-60 togrog per liter in May, said officials of the Mining Ministry April 25. About it and other news they told at a "Transparent mining" press-conference. A system whereby Mongolia depends solely on... one fuel source and buys the fuel at a price this source is willing to say is to be abolished. Starting from this month, Mongolian fuel importers have been making contracts to import the fuel not only from Russia but also from China, S.Korea and Belarus. "With the Russian 'Rosneft' our side wants to reach an agreement that the international prices will be adhered to in the import," they said. Between NIK, Magnai trade and Shunkhlai companies and the Chinese "China oil" contracts have been inked on a fuel supply. Prices of the Chinese products are to be accorded with the prices of the Mongolian raw oil exported to China, in other words, the prices wil be flexible. The "Euro-4" standard auto fuel will be imported from Belarus, from the S.Korea the fuel might be imported by its two companies. "In view of all this we may get rid of the fear that prices will rise," they said. A number of fuel importers has not increased, they added. D.Enkhbileg
