Gabala hosts 5th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum

Gabala, June 23 (AzerTAc). The 5th Azerbaijan-Russia Interregional Forum entitled “Interregional cooperation: new opportunities for growth” has today kicked off in Gabala, Azerbaijan. Speaking to the plenary session, chief of the Department of Social and Political Affairs at Azerbaijan`s Presidential Administration Ali Hasanov read out a congratulatory message of President Ilham Aliyev to the event`s participants. Organized by Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Economy and Industry and Russia`s Ministry of Regional Development, the two-day forum is attended by about 500 delegates from the two countries, including officials of the presidential administrations and ministries, as well as parliamentarians. The forum will feature discussions on the prospects for the cooperation in the fields of energy and transportation, as well as potential to broaden the bilateral relations in tourism, investment and agrarian sectors. The two counties will sign several documents as part of the forum.
