Gadhafi's HQ is now a bazaar

TRIPOLI (A.A) - November 27, 2011 - Ex-Libyan leader Muammar Gadhafi's main base is now being used as a marketplace for the people of Tripoli. A bazaar is set up every Friday in Bab al-Azizia, one of symbols of 42-year Gadhafi rule in Libya. Bab al-Azizia was earlier a military barracks and compound, situated in the southern suburbs of Tripoli. It served as the main base for Muammar Gadhafi until its capture in August 2011. The compound was demolished in October. National Transitional Council (NTC) of Libya is planning to turn the compound into a park.
