General Consul N.Ankhbayar works in Utah

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The General Consul of Mongolia N.Ankhbayar in San-Francisco and the Deputy Consul B.Bold worked April 28-30 in Utah State, USA. The diplomats have met with Mr Gregory S. Bell, the Lieutenant Governor of the US state of Utah, to exchange views on a present volume of the Mongolia and Utah State cooperation, its sectors and opportunities to widen the bilateral cooperation. Mr Ankhbayar said there is an opportunity to collaborate in the fields of mining, agriculture, education and tourism, and then asked Mr Bell to cooperate in protecting interests of the Mongolians in Utah. In turn, Mr Bell expressed a readiness of his State to support requests of the Mongolian side and to cooperate in these matters. During the working tour, the Consuls have got au fait with activities of the Kennecott Utah Copper Corporation (KUCC), a division of Rio Tinto Group. Apart of this, the consuls have rendered consular service to Mongolians in Utah such as granting new ID cards, prolonging passports, citizens’ registration, and notary’s services.
