Georgian defense minister: We are grateful to Azerbaijan for its brotherly help

Baku, August 24, AZERTAC On behalf of the government and people of Georgia, Georgian Defense Minister Levan Izoria has expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan for its assistance in tackling the ongoing forest fires in Georgia. The Georgian minister noted that they held a monitoring of the fire by a helicopter sent by Azerbaijan. "We are grateful to Azerbaijan for its brotherly assistance. Thanks to cooperation, we have managed to jointly identify the fire sources," Izoria said. "Despite the fact that the fire was minimized, the efforts to put out the fire are now hindered by the windy weather. With the help of Azerbaijan and other countries, we will do our utmost to ensure the safety of the people living close to the fire-hit area," Izoria added.
