Georgian PM, Israeli Interior Minister discuss bilateral cooperation

Tbilisi, Georgia, April 25 By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Israeli Interior Minister Gideon Saar on April 24. The sides discussed the issues related to the introduction of a visa-free regime between the two countries, as well as the prospects for the development of the Georgian-Israeli relations, the Georgian government told Trend. Garibashvili thanked the Israeli side for the visit. "This is another sign of friendship and partnership between Georgia and Israel," he added. The sides called the introduction of bilateral visa regime as historical. "This decision will help to intensify the relations between the two countries, including the cooperation in tourism, trade and drawing investments," Garibashvili added. The importance of the agreement on cooperation in combating the organized crime between the Georgian and Israeli governments was stressed. The head of the administration of the Israeli Interior Ministry Nathaniel Isaac, Israeli ambassador to Georgia Yuval Fuchs and Georgian Interior Minister Alexander Chikaidze attended the meeting.
