German Envoy Says He Will Convey Real Image Of Iran To World

Tehran, June 17, IRNA – German Ambassador to Tehran Herbert Honsowitz on Sunday criticized the world mass media for negligence to reflect realities in Iran and said that he would convey the real image of Iran to the world. The German ambassador made the remarks in a meeting with the head of Majlis Research Center Kazem Jalali. Without exception, all Iranian are positive and I strongly can underline that Iranian people are the most hospitable nation in the world, the ambassador said. Referring to the recent presidential elections in Iran, he said Iranian people and government proved that they move forward shoulder to shoulder and that Germany is optimistic about expansion of relations and economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran. He said that the lively presidential election held on Friday was excellent for displaying national identity. Kazem Jalali said for his part that Iran seeks to broaden parliamentary cooperation with Germany as well as other European states to benefit from their experiences. The Friday presidential election in Iran was manifestation of the peopleˈs demand and the democracy available in Iran, he said. Jalali said that over 70 percent of eligible people took part in the election which is very remarkable.
