German Opposition MP Warns Of New Israeli Massacres In Gaza

Berlin, Nov 20, IRNA -- A German legislator of the opposition party The Left (Die Linke) has warned of new Israeli massacres in Gaza. Addressing a pro-Gaza solidarity march in Berlin on Sunday, Annette Groth voiced deep concern over a repeat of the 2008/9 Israeli military onslaught on Gaza which killed and injured thousands of people, among them many women and children. She urged an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza conflict. Groth accused the Zionist regime of instrumentalizing the Gaza military aggression for election purposes. She slammed also German arms exports to Israel labeling it as 'unacceptable'. Thousands of people demonstrated in Berlin's pre-dominantly Arab and Turkish district of Kreuzberg on Sunday, voicing outrage over the ongoing Israeli atrocities in Gaza. Germany has been the scene of numerous anti-Israel protests over the past days./end
