Germany Begins Sending Back Afghan Refugees

Kabul (BNA) The German chancellor Angela Merkel has recently started repatriation of Afghan refugees and has rejected requests on prevention of these asylum seekers. The request had read that in this critical conditions, the gesture of the German government is against the principles of cooperation. But the political opposition the German government have expressed disagreement with repatriation of Afghan refugees and said that Afghanistan is not a secure place yet and war is going on in Afghanistan. On Wednesday, 34 Afghan refugees were repatriated from Germany as in current year, over 650000 Afghan refugees have repatriated from Pakistan and Iran whose majority of them have no shelter and food in winter and are at close quarters with death threat. Majority of Afghans believe that beside other problems, the Afghan government doesn’t manage to provide jobs and shelter to repatriating people so the world should not leave Afghanistan alone. Although in the past years, during winters, war had suspended and the armed insurgents had left to Pakistan or deployed in mountains for their security, but now they create obstacles before the NASF and continued war. The ASNF have launched Operation Shafaq-2 in some parts inflicted heavy blows on insurgents and destroyed their centers. Taking into account unemployment and hard condition and poverty in Afghanistan, repatriation of Afghan from Asian and European countries create serious headache to the Afghan government, extends unemployment and deteriorates insecurities. Thousands workers gather everyday around the key circles in the city to find a work but most of them don’t manage to find work for several days and late afternoon return home disappointedly. According to statistics of the MoLSA, at present there are over 24000 vacant positions in the government across Afghanistan and most educated applicants don’t dare to be employed in insecure provinces that this situation would draw them to join armed insurgents. Until the Afghan government doesn’t provide job facilities to people, repatriation of refugees would be big challenge. According to German media report, it is planed that the rest of Afghan refugees whose application cases have been rejected would be repatriated to Afghanistan early next year. But the officials of Afghan MoRR said that so far about 4000 Afghan refugees have registered in Afghan embassy in Berlin for repatriation because their applications have been rejected. In the last 12 months over 10000 Afghans have voluntarily repatriated from the European countries to Afghanistan. But representative of left wing party in German parliament has called forceful repatriation of Afghans as human and barbaric action.
