GOIC Hosts Meeting to Discuss Methodology to Assess Performance of Saudi SMEs

Doha, August 02 (QNA) - The Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) held a meeting to discuss a project to develop a comprehensive annual methodology to assess SMEs in Saudi Arabia. The Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry had tasked GOIC with this project. The meeting was attended by the team in charge of the execution of the project formed by representatives of the World Bank, GOIC and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Saudi Arabia. World Bank representatives delivered a paper introducing and explaining the project and discussed it with participants. Discussions also centered on initiatives that are currently available in Saudi Arabia, in addition to projects carried out by the World Bank that are relating to the study. Participants exchanged opinions regarding the introductory paper adopted by Saudi Arabia before moving to determining the phases of the execution of the project. (QNA)
