Government should stop paying cash subsidy to the rich: Iranian MP

TEHRAN,July 12(MNA) – An Iranian MP said that the government is duty bound to stop paying cash subsidy to people on a high income from this month. Gholamreza Mesbahi Moqadam told reporters on Thursday that according to the national budget for the current Iranian calendar year (March 2014-March 2015) the government should only pay cash subsidy to families who are needy and have submitted their request to receive the cash. The parliament has passed a law obliging the government to pay cash subsidy only to low-income people. According to the parliamentary approval the plan should go into force from the current Iranian month of Tir (June 22 July 22)
