Greek ambassador summoned to Foreign Ministry over EP resolution

Tehran, April 7, IRNA – Following approval of an anti-Iran resolution by European Parliament recently, Foreign Ministry on Sunday summoned Greek ambassador to Tehran, as his country holds periodic chairmanship of the European Union. Foreign Ministryˈs Media Office said that in the meeting, Director General of West Europe Affairs Department informed the Greek envoy of Iranˈs displeasure with approval of the recent resolution. He also criticized endorsement of resoluton at a time when Greece holds EU chairmanship, terming it ˈunacceptable and unrealistic.ˈ He said such uncalculated measures and stances are against common interests of Iran and European Union. The Greek ambassador, for his part, vowed to inform related EU officials in Brussels of the issue
