GTI TOURISM COUNCIL MEETING STARTS

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The eighth meeting of the Tourism Council of Great Tumen Initiative (GTI) started Wednesday in Ulaanbaatar having gathered representatives of Mongolia, China, South Korea and Russia. GTI was founded in 1995, with a support of the United National Development Program. The members are Mongolia, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation. The initiative has made great contribution, so far, to the economic cooperation and sustainable development of the North East Asian region. It also helps set the regional standards of energy supply, infrastructure development, tourism and environment protection. The 14th Meeting of the GTI along with the North East Asian Economic Forum took place in Ulaanbaatar in October of 2013. The meeting of the Tourism Council will continue until July 4.
