Guardian Council Okays Legislation To Downgrade Ties With UK

Tehran, Nov 29, IRNA – The Guardian Council on Monday verified a legislation to downgrade Iran's relations with the United Kingdom. Spokesman for the Guardian Council Abbasali Kadkhodaei said that members of the body did not see the legislation passed by Majlis in contradiction with the Constitution and confirmed it. The Parliament on Saturday passed a law to downgrade Iran's ties with the UK to charge d'affaires level and minimize trade relations in reaction to the UK government's action to cut banking ties with Iran.
