Gunmen Kill Three Hazara Men In SW Pakistan

Islamabad, Nov 7, IRNA– Unidentified gunmen killed three members of Hazara community in southwestern Pakistani city of Quetta late Tuesday, police said. Two others were injured when the gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire at a cab in the Spiny Road area of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan. According to details, five men were going to Hazara Town in a taxi when they came under attack. Three died at the scene. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital. Police sources said that it was an incident of target killing. The gunmen escaped after the incident. No group claimed responsibility for the attack. Police hold elements of the banned extremist groups for such attacks. Sectarian violence has been on the rise in Balochistan where several people, particularly Shias traveling for religious purposes, have been targeted./end
