Hague: Negotiations Continue To Reach An Agreement

Vienna, July 14, IRNA – British Foreign Secretary William Hague said there exist deep gaps in nuclear talks but negotiations will continue to reach an agreement. After meeting with Iranˈs Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Vienna, Hague said that a clear result has not been reached yet in negotiations. He said Iran should prove that its nuclear program is peaceful, adding that we have not been able to solve the problem yet and negotiations had no progress, but we continue talks until we reach an agreement. Hague stressed that presence of foreign ministers in Vienna was very good. Asked if time of negotiations could be extended after July 20, Hague said it is too early to talk about extension of time, and both sides have concentrated on access to an agreement until July 20, 2014. Still, there are deep gaps, which should be filled by continuation of dialogue, Hague said. Foreign Ministers of three European countries Germany, Britain and France as well as the US Secretary of States John Kerry arrived in Vienna on Sunday to consult about disputed issues and after holding different meetings departed Vienna for their own capitals./end
