Hamas Condemns Fatahˈs Arrest Of Resistance Forces In West Bank

Beirut, Sept 7, IRNA – Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, Saturday night condemned Palestinian Authority (PA) self-rule officials for summoning and arresting dozens of its supporters in West Bank recently. ˈArresting Hamas members, witout any justification or reasoning is unacceptable and condemned,ˈ Hamas Spokesman Hissam Badran was quoted by Palestine Today in Ramallah as saying. He said that the Palestinian nation cannot accept those arrests so shortly after the massive massacre of the Palestinians by the racist Zionist enemy in Gaza Strip. ˈContinuing the breaching of security of the Palestinians in the West Bank after the victory of the resistance forces in Gaza is meanwhile trampling upon the shed blood of the martyrs on the one hand and a severe blow against the ideal of a united Palestine on the other hand,ˈ he reiterated. Hissam Badran stressed that the Palestinians are definitely opposed to any kind of Fatah-Tel Aviv security cooperation against the Palestinian resistance forces. The Committee of Political Prisoners in the West Bank announced on Saturday that ever since the June 26 end of the racist Zionist regimeˈs brutal aggression in Gaza forty-one Palestinians have been imprisoned in the West Bank and 33 others have been summoned for security interrogations, that normally lead to their imprisonment. The new round of atrocities unleashed by the PA against Hamas is also observed under such conditions that on April 23, 2014, Hamas and Fatah signed an agreement, vowing to put an end to internal Palestinian strife and to begin a new chapter of Palestinian unity after seven years of separation. The two Palestinian organizations agreed in accordance with that pact to establish a national unity government, headed by Rami al-Hamdallh, but the new Fatah cooperation with Tel Aviv has obviously put at state the future perspective for Palestinian unity and brotherhood./end
