Hamas Envoy: Differences Between Shia-Sunni Muslims Meaningless

Tehran, Aug 13, IRNA – Hamas representative in Iran said differences between Shia and Sunni Muslims have no meaning and are based on political inclinations which have no connection with Arabs and non-Arabs. In a ceremony to launch a book named ˈQuran and Kiblahˈ here in Tehran on Tuesday afternoon, Khalid al-Qaddumi said we are now in a very sensitive period of history and the Islamic world should not substitute unimportant issue for unity. He added that Palestine is the land of prophets and the Palestinian youth are role models for Muslim youth. Referring to recent crimes of the Zionist regime, Qaddumi said around 2,000 innocent men, women and children had lost their lives. ˈShould we have one million martyrs so that the Islamic world reacts?ˈ asked Qaddumi. He underlined that Quds and Palestine are the code of unity in the Islamic world. Qaddumi continued although Gaza is just one third of Tehran, it could create crisis for the Zionist regime. The book of ˈQuran and Kiblahˈ, which was written by Mohammad Reza Hakimi and is about Islamic unity, solidarity, religious aspects, Islam and removing colonialism was launched today in Tehran./end
