Hamid Nouri still in solitary confinement: Son

Tehran, IRNA – Majid Nouri, the son of Hamid Nouri, an Iranian national imprisoned in Sweden, said on Sunday that his father is still being held in solitary confinement. He made the remarks speaking to IRNA after he and his mother came back from a visit to Sweden where they had a one-hour meeting with Mr. Nouri. Majid said that his father does not have access to the doctor yet. He added that as the food served in the prison is not Halal, his father has restrictions for eating. He said that the case of his father and what is happening in the course of the trial is so strange to their family and the lawyers of his father. Majid said that the measures taken by prison officials are bothering his father and impeding the course of trial, but they are done in a way that do not seem illegal. He said that the prison guards use articles of Swedish law that allow them to pressure the prisoner. Hamid Nouri was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Swedish court last month.
