Hardliners Say Negotiating Team Plans To Deceive Iranian Nation

Tehran, July 14, IRNA - The Hardliners, the critics of moderate policies of President Hassan Rouhani say that negotiating team plans to deceive the Iranian nation using mere words and bombastic style. Rajanews, a website close to former top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili, in an article released today, criticized foreign ministerˈs participation in six rounds of talks in Vienna, noting that Mohammad Javad Zarif has abandoned all his tasks as a minister and plays the role of a negotiator. Referring to the absence of Zarif counterparts in six rounds of talks in Vienna, the conservative website added that long presence of foreign minister in Vienna tempts western sides of talks particularly US to increase their unreasonable demands. Iranˈs foreign minister sits around a table that deputy foreign ministers of G5+1 member states sit and this is against diplomatic norms and a humiliating action against the national pride. In the meantime, Mashregh website close to Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) manipulated a report by Washington based ˈFoundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD)ˈ to say that sanctions have not been eased and Iranian assets have not been released despite all the concessions Iran made by signing the Interim Geneva Nuclear Agreement. Meanwhile, Jahannews, a hardliner website close to Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, President Rouhaniˈs rival in 2013 presidential elections criticized the negotiating teamˈs easy concessions to the West. It referred to Iranˈs proposal to G5+1 to maintain 50,000 of its centrifuges required for providing fuel for Bushehr Power Plant and added that the government has retreated from the idea after US disagreement, meaning that it is ready for any type of compromise in order to achieve an agreement without considering the costs. Western sides of talks still continue their unreasonable demands without giving any concession and in the meantime, the Iranian team is happy with some ambiguities in talks which helps them use mere words and bombastic style to deceive their nation about success of talks, the hardliner website said. Meanwhile, Vatan Emrooz daily managed by conservative MP Mehrdad Bazrpash believes that the West aims to freeze Iranˈs nuclear program for the next 10 years using the text of final nuclear agreement. The hardliner newspaper questioned the negotiating teamˈs approach and noted that reports say that Iranˈs negotiating team has declared preparedness to continue trust building measure for a seven year period against the national interests. President Rouhani on different occasions has defended his nuclear negotiating team against the so-called ˈWe Are Concernedˈ group who are critical of the governmentˈs foreign policy. He has assured the critics that Foreign Ministryˈs nuclear negotiating team is experienced and capable enough to defend the nationˈs rights. Critics of President Rouhaniˈs policies particularly its foreign policy have launched a campaign known as “We Are Concerned” and have asked him on different occasions to give up his moderate policies and adopt the past policies of former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Iranˈs foreign policy has taken new directions since Rouhani was elected as President in 2013. Nuclear talks between Iran and the G5+1 members have gained momentum./end
