Head of delegation of Russian Federal Assembly hails high turnout in Azerbaijani presidential election

Baku, April 11, AZERTAC “Turnout was high in the Azerbaijani presidential election and the voting was perfectly organized,” head of an observation mission of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Lilia Gumerova has told journalists. “We monitored the voting at polling station No. 15-16 of the Yasamal constituency No. 17. When we arrived there in the morning 86 out of 1900 voters have already cast their ballots, which is almost 5 percent of the total number of eligible voters in that constituency,” Gumerova said. She noted that the election was held in accordance with international standards, adding that there have not been any difficulties during the voting.
