Head of Presidential Administration attends 9th international meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues

Ramiz Mehdiyev awarded Russia’s Order of Honor Sochi, April 26, AZERTAC An Azerbaijani delegation has attended the 9th international meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues held in Sochi, Russian Federation. The delegation includes head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, Assistant to the President for Work with Law Enforcement Bodies and Military Issues Fuad Alasgarov, and section head at the Presidential Administration Otari Gvaladze. The participants include representatives of 117 countries. The meeting focused on global and regional security issues. In his opening remarks, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev read out President Vladimir Putin’s congratulatory message to the event participants, and highlighted the issues on the agenda. Head of the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev delivered a speech on “The strategy and evolution of tactics of international terrorist organizations". As part of the event, Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev met with Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev. Nikolai Patrushev noted that President Vladimir Putin signed an Order on conferring Russia’s Order of Honor upon Ramiz Mehdiyev for his contributions to the development of Azerbaijan-Russia relations. Nikolai Patrushev presented the Order to Ramiz Mehdiyev. Head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev thanked the Russian President for high attention. In his meeting with State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas, the Head of the Administration discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, including the situation and security issues in the region and around the world.
