Hezbollah Envoy: Islamic Umma Capable To Confront With Takfiris

Tehran, Jan 18, IRNA – Special envoy of secretary general of Lebanese Hezbollah Seyed Ebrahim Amin al-Seyed said Islamic Umma can stand against great danger of Takfiris, adding that uprisings in the Islamic world should continue. Speaking in the opening ceremony of the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference here on Friday, Amin al-Seyed, by referring to massacre of innocent people in Syria, said that those who are killing these people intend to create disunity among Shia and Sunni Muslims. He added that the USA and the Zionist regime, by creating conflict in Syria, are trying to deviate world public opinion from Palestine and Quds issues. Al-Seyed went on to say that we are involved in a dirty war which aims to destroy cultural, scientific and economic victories of the Islamic Umma. The real danger is that all these crimes are committed in the name of Islam and its holy prophet. They are manipulating Islam, which is very dangerous and we should be aware, said the Lebanese cleric. The special envoy of the secretary general of Lebanese Hezbollah, by referring to the Hezbollah presence in the region, said this presence in the region is for liberation of Palestine and Qods from the hands of the Zionist regime and the USA. The 27th International Islamic Unity Conference started its work here on Friday in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani and a number of officials and foreign guests. 370 foreign scholars from 50 different countries such as Malaysia, Russia, Greece, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Algeria, Britain, USA, Australia, Uganda, Tunisia, the Netherlands, Qatar, Yemen and Egypt are attending the 3-day conference./end
