Hosseini: Resistance Against Global Arrogance Leads To Victory

Tehran, May 2, IRNA – Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini said on Tuesday that those nations which resist global arrogance will undoubtedly attain victory. 'This is a lesson we have learned from the Islamic Revolution in Iran,' Hosseini told a group of media persons from Libya. There are many cultural affinities between both nations and exchange of delegations between the two Muslim nations will help deepen friendly ties, he said. Hosseini expressed the hope that with the withdrawal of alien forces and from Libya, the country would witness establishment of an Islamic government backed by Libyan Muslims. He advised the Libyan media persons to take lessens from Islamic Revolution and reflect existing realities in the country concerning their struggle with global arrogance. The Late Imam Khomeini through his wise leadership ousted the former dictatorial regime of Iran and established an Islamic system of government with the support of people, he said. Enemies try to promote Iranophobia to shatter the image of the country, he said and called on world Muslims to forge unity in dealing with their enemies. “We are determined to back those nations engaged in Islamic awakening and uprising by holding cultural weeks and exchanging cultural delegations,” he said. The enemies try to obstruct news networks and prevent them from reflecting realities including the significant achievements of the Islamic Revolution to the world's public opinion, he said. There are over 120 foreign media offices in Iran that carry out their duties without any problem, he said. The head of Libyan media delegation said before coming to Iran they had a wrong ideas about realities in the country but now they have found out that they were merely media propaganda. “We are to reflect realities in Iran to our nation,” he said. He called for expansion of media cooperation between the two countries so that the Libyan nation can make use of Iran’s valuable experiences in the field./end
