Hungary keen to promote trade ties with Iran

Tehran, Nov 12, IRNA – Hungary is keen to promote trade relations with Iran, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary Laszló Kover said on Saturday. He made the remarks in the joint press conference with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani. Kover referred to two countries' commitment to establish joint Iran-Hungary commission and said Hungary is keen to enhance trade with Iran. The official declared his support for development of two countries' relations and called for consolidation of ties between Iran and Hungary friendship associations. During Hungary prime minister's visit to Iran last year, the two countries decided to establish joint economic commission which is expected to be approved in the Hungary's parliament in the near future, he added. Kover pointed to Sister City Agreement inked between Hungarian Pecs city and Iranian city of Shiraz, Jászberény and Yazd as well as Budapest and Tehran and called for enhancement of cooperation between the two countries' major cities. Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary arrived Iran last Wednesday and visited Shiraz and Isfahan prior to coming to the capital, Tehran. 1378/IRNA
