I want to be a bridge for entry of youth to parliament: Aref

TEHRAN,July 21(MNA) - Mohammad Reza Aref, a member of Iran’s Expediency Council, said on Sunday that encouraging people’s participation in the next parliamentary elections is his most important agenda. Constitutionally, parliament has a special place in the Islamic Republic system, ISNA quoted him as saying. A “strong parliament” whose members will be “expert” will serve the “interests” of all classes of society and even would help the government, added Aref, a moderate reformist who ran for president last year but withdrew candidacy in the last hours. Aref said that he wants to make it easier for young people to enter the parliament. “Almost all our activities center around the youth and main goal of my activities are this class of society. I personally also try to be a bridge for entry of the youth to parliament.”
