IAEA Chief: Iran-IAEA Talks Will Continue

Tehran, June 29, IRNA – Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukio Amano announced on Thursday that negotiations between Iran and IAEA on the formerˈs nuclear case will continue in the future. Amano made the remarks during his speech at the Third International High-Ranking IAEA Conference in St. Petersburg in the Russian city of St. Petersburg. ˈTalks with Iran will continue, but these negotiations cannot last forever,ˈ the IAEA chief noted. Amano described the main goal for holding talks between Iran and IAEA is becoming assures about peaceful nature of Iranˈs nuclear program. He reiterated that deciding about Iranˈs nuclear case falls within the jurisdiction of IAEAˈs Board of Governors, saying that he is duty-bound to gather information and present them to the Board of Governors./end
