IAEO Head Arrives In St. Petersburg To Attend 2 Nuclear Events

St. Petersburg, June 25, IRNA – Head of Iran Atomic Energy Organization (IAEO) Fereydoun Abbasi, heading a high ranking delegation, arrived here on Monday afternoon to attend Atom-Expo 2013 exhibition and meeting. He is to attend the opening ceremony of exhibition of Atom-Expo 2013, in which the Islamic Republic of Iran will present its peaceful nuclear achievements for the first time. Abbasi will also participate in international meeting of nuclear science in the 21st century with ministers and heads of member countries of IAEA. The 2-day exhibition will kick off on Wednesday here and advanced equipment in nuclear industries of Russia and other countries, including Iran, will be presented. Simultaneously, an international meeting concerning international participation in nuclear fuel cycle with the participation of 4,000 persons from 53 countries will be held here. In this meeting, issues such as international nuclear law, education of nuclear science, the environment protection, nuclear sciences and technologies information and its outlook will be discussed./end
