IDEA launches first tree-planting drive

Baku, December 8 (AzerTAc). The first tree-planting drive was held here at the initiative of the IDEA - International Dialogue for Environmental Action, which was founded by the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva. Representatives of youth organizations began the campaign to plant over 20 thousand trees in the 17km section of Zikh highway. As part of the drive, 300 thousand trees are scheduled to be planted prior to the Rio+20 - United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development.
