Imam Khomeini Was A “spiritual guide”: Indian Scholar

New Delhi, May 30, IRNA -- Paying rich tribute to the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, an Indian Scholar Tuesday said: “Imam Khomeini was a political leader and he was a spiritual guide at the same time”. Talking to IRNA, Syed Liyaqat Hussain Moini Chishti, Professor in Aligarh Muslim University said: “He was a greatest model leader, who changing the course of the history by masterminding the Islamic Revolution and leading the same to its victory. He guided not only the Iranians but the entire Muslims around the globe in order to succeed, ethical purity and political knowledge should go hand in hand, noted Professor Liyaqat. He further said that due to this strong faith, practical devotion and with lofty Islamic aspirations, Imam uprooted the strong Western-supported dictatorship and established the government based on Islamic values. "Today Imam Khomeini is not with us but his soul would remain the beacon light for the Muslims around the globe,” he added./end
