Indian ambassador says New Delhi, Moscow discuss projects concerning Far East

MOSCOW, January 26. /TASS/. High-level visits between New Delhi and Moscow are planned, focused exclusively on the Far East region, Indian Ambassador to Russia Pankaj Saran said in an interview with TASS. "We are planning some high-level visits between India and Russia focused exclusively on the Far East region," the ambassador noted. "And there are some concrete projects being discussed already between India and Russia which are located in the Far East." The ambassador added that "in the Joint Communiqué of the last India-Russia summit in Goa in October 2016 for the first time there was a specific reference to the initiatives taken by Russia for the development of its Far East." Saran also said that India planned to increase its "participation in the Eastern Economic Forum." Read more
