Indian Muslim Organizations Condemn Anti-Islam US Film

New Delhi, Oct 8, IRNA – Indian Muslim organizations Sunday condemned blasphemous movie “Innocence of Muslims” and blasphemous caricature of Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) published in a French magazine. The United Muslim Forum (Andhra Pradesh) and United Muslim Action Committee Sunday evening organized a public meeting in Hyderabad, capital city of Andhra Pradesh state, and condemned the controversial anti-Islam film. Eminent religious scholars, community leaders, intellectuals and representatives addressing the gathering condemned the film that had triggered violence in many countries. The meeting flayed the depiction of Muslim community in the film and the caricatures appearing in a French magazine. Apart from religious clerics, representatives of different political parties participated in the public meeting and registered their protest. A 14-minute trailer for the video titled “Innocence of Muslims,” was uploaded on the internet depicting Holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) in a derogatory manner. According to media reports, the video is a brain child of a 52-year old Israeli-American, Sam Bacile who had received a donation of $5 million from 100 Jewish donors to make a movie called “Islam is Cancer.”/end
