Indonesia Backs Iran Peaceful N-program : Marzuki

Tehran, Nov 20, IRNA – Visiting Indonesia’s House Speaker Marzuki Alie said Wednesday that Indonesian parliament supports Iran’s peaceful nuclear program. The House speaker made the remark at the open session of Iran’s Majlis this morning. On the issue of Palestine, he said Indonesia and Iran share identical views regarding the issue. Expressing his satisfaction with his current visit to Iran, he hoped it would lead to expansion of long-lasting bilateral relations. He then briefed the MPs on his Tuesday meeting with Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani during which the two discussed issues of mutual interest. The Indonesian official further condoled Iran over the blasts in front of Iranian Embassy in Beirut, Lebanon, that killed many civilians including Iran’s cultural attaché.
