Interim prayers leader: Sanctions not the driving force in nuclear talks

Tehran, Nov 7, IRNA – Substitute Friday prayers leader of Tehran Hojjatoleslam Ahmad Khatami on Friday dismissed the US President Barak Obama's "wrong" claim that sanctions had dragged Iran to the negotiation table. "If the only benefit of the Iran-G5+1 talks is to make the most stupid individuals in Iran understand that the US is not trustable, I should say we have gained our benefit in the talks," said Hojjatoleslam Khatami in his second Friday prayers sermon in Tehran University campus. Khatami insisted that sanctions have not been Iran's driving force in the talks.
