Interior minister receives EFQM member

Manama, Apr. 20 (BNA): Interior Minister Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) Assessor and Management Consultant Dr. Laura Salasco, as the Interior Ministry has won the Excellence Award in Human Resources Management of 2015. Dr. Salasco is assigned by EFQM to assess the Ministry of Interior's potentials of winning the EFQM Commitment To Excellence Award. The Interior Minister said that winning Human Resources Management award is part of Ministry of Interior's development and modernisation approach. He expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the members in charge of the project for their commitment in the implementation of training plans and programmes, in order to get the award and enhance the administration system, stressing on the importance of continued efforts in performing duties according to the highest quality standards. EFQM set two years for the Human Resources Directorate to get the award by implementing one project, while the trained excellence team finished in 8 months through implementing 3 sub-projects within the commitment to excellence framework. Assistant Undersecretary of Human Resources was present.
