International forum on educating children to run

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ An international forum themed “Usage of positive methods for educating pupils at kindergartens and schools” will be held on May 20-22 in Ulaanbaatar city. Organized by the Save the Children Japan in Mongolia, the forum’s purpose is to advertize the good experience at the Mongolian educational sector in educating children with positive methods at an international level. The Save the Children Japan has working in Mongolia since 2008 for distributing a “Positive method for teaching” in both family and educational environments, and has been organizing various training, research works and other activities dedicated to parents and teachers of schools and kindergartens. In 2008-2011, the organization implemented a project on backing a realization of the education law and improving the management and monitoring systems. From 2011, it is implementing a project named “Children-friendly kindergartens”. At the upcoming forum, partners of these projects, representatives from the Mongolian State University of Education, some aimags; and officials of the Save the Children Japan will give reports.
