IP Gas Pipeline To Be Completed By Dec 2014: Pak Official

Islamabad, July 2, IRNA - Pakistan Secretary Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources Abid Saeed has said that Iran-Pakistan (IP) Gas Pipeline Project would be completed by December 2014, Radio Pakistan website reported on Monday. In an interview‚ he said that Pakistan will receive 750 million cubic feet gas daily through this pipeline from Iran which will help overcome energy crisis. He added that the gas supply will be later increased to one billion cubic feet daily. He added that the IP gas pipeline was an important project which would help the country overcome the acute gas shortages it is currently facing. Saeed said the project will also help generate 5,000 megawatt electricity which will reduce power load shedding./end
