Iranˈs New Ambassador Submits His Credentials To Swiss President

Berlin, July 2, IRNA – Iranˈs new Ambassador to Switzerland Gholamali Khoshro submitted his credentials to Switzerlandˈs Federal President Didier Burkhalter on Tuesday afternoon. In the ceremony, Khoshro conveyed President Rouhaniˈs greetings to his Swiss counterpart and underlined Iranian government firm intention to expand bilateral cooperation in all fields and expressed hope that historical and friendly ties between the two countries could be more and more consolidated. Underlining Iranˈs intention to reach final agreement with Group 5+1, Khoshro also referred to constructive role of Switzerland in settlement of international and regional disputes. The new ambassador also appreciated Switzerland for hosting several rounds of nuclear talks between Iran and Group 5+1. Referring to terrorist acts of Takfiri groups in Syria and Iraq, Khoshro called for serious confrontation of world community with them and taking a big step against terrorism by the UN Security Council. President Didier Burkhalter, who is also Swiss Foreign Minister, called bilateral relations friendly and wished success for the new ambassador in developing bilateral ties in all fields./end
