Iranˈs Policy To Defend Islam, Muslims Worldwide: Official

Tehran, July 16, IRNA - Presidentˈs Special Adviser in Ethnic Minorities Affairs Hojjatoleslam Ali Younesi said here on Tuesday that Tehranˈs present approach is to defend Islam and Muslims worldwide. Addressing a local gathering, the official said in fulfilling its policy, Tehran sees no difference between Shiite and Sunni Muslims. Younesi added world arrogant powers and the Zionist regime are working hard to sow discord among Shiite and Sunni Muslims using all within their reach. He stressed that massacre of Muslims is a serious danger facing Islam. Younesi regretted that the Zionist regime welcomes killing of Muslims adding that it serves Tel Avivˈs interest. The official stressed the need for maintaining unity among Muslims./end
