Iranˈs Support For Gaza, Unique

Beirut, Aug 8, IRNA – The Islamic Republic of Iran has maintained its political stances regarding the Palestinian issue. Providing all-out support to Palestinians is an unchanging political stand pursued by Iran as a top priority of the 1979 Islamic Revolution. Iran has paid quite dearly for its supports. Iranˈs stands towards the latest Zionist regimeˈs attacks on Gaza are based on the guidelines offered by the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the policies of the sitting Iranian government and the message of the commander of the Qods Forces affiliated to the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Qassem Soleymani. Some media and political circles in Lebanon and Palestine stress that the all-out support for Gaza and even the West Bank pronounced by the Supreme Leader, the firm positions taken by the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, the message of Brigadier General Solieymani and Iranˈs diplomatic and media protests are of no surprise to anyone who is even slightly familiar with Tehranˈs views regarding Palestine. The Palestinian researcher Bayan al-Hout highlighted the great differences existing between Iranˈs stands on Palestine and those adopted by other countries. Talking to IRNA, she stressed Iranˈs unchanging and solid policy towards the situation in Gaza. She said Tehranˈs stands on the issue have never been changed.
